Early on, the Heart of Illinois 9/12 Project leaders said we wanted to do 3 things:  Unify, Educate and Activate.  We have been doing a fair job unifying and educating, but we need to do a lot of activating in the near future with elections just 4 months away!!!  Instead of a "voter registration drive," I've been thinking we should focus on a "get out the vote" drive--pounding the pavement promoting liberty candidates in neighborhoods where there may be swing voters or conservatives who have given up, inspiring them to get in and register if they are not registered, offering to take them to the County Clerk's office if need be, and offering rides on election day.  To do a "voter registration drive," we have to become certified registrars and we cannot promote candidates while we're registering voters.  I think voter registration is probably a lot more beneficial to liberal candidates as 80% of their target voters are unregistered, whereas our target voters are probably 80% registered.  I have connected with Anystreet.org, who will direct all of their volunteers from our area to us.  Please register at www.anystreet.org.  They provide opportunities for you to make a difference that don't necessarily cost money, such as providing links to phone campaigns all over the country where you can log into a website, call an 800 number, plug in a password and make phone calls for candidates at their campaign's expense.  There are other opportunities such as envelope stuffing and pavement pounding, etc.  These are the types of activities we must engage in to take our country back!  Do not be fooled into thinking we have November in the bag!!  The Democrats will be out in force, fully funded with our tax dollars, bussing every welfare recipient, union member and clueless co-ed to the polls on election day.  We MUST not let-up until we have won back the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, and every possible Illinois State House and Senate seat possible for a liberty candidate!!  (Then we have only 2 short years to find our next Reagan and get him or her in office--no rest for the weary!!!)  If you want to be involved in a "Get out the Liberty Vote" drive, or if you have questions, concerns or objections, please call me at (309) 472-5352 or email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
